Floating Zoo pool
The floating pool created for Korkeasaari Zoo provides a specialized environment for seals and other aquatic animals. Measuring 20m x 20m x 4m, with a water depth of 3.5m, it offers a unique solution for their needs. The pool’s edges will be landscaped with rocks or other natural elements to mimic the animals’ natural habitat. This landscaping enhances the zoo’s goal of creating a comfortable, realistic space for its wildlife.
Iceland VÖK Baths Twin Thermal Spa pools
Vök Baths, situated in Egilsstaðir, Eastern Iceland, offers thermal baths throughout the year. The floating pools are located on an inland lake, providing 160 m² of geothermal-heated water for swimming and relaxation. The spa opened in July 2019. For more details, visit Vök Baths website.
Floating aquarium with a pool
The hotel owner and local investor aim to create a unique attraction along the Mediterranean coast, complementing a luxury marina. The city lacks a beach due to polluted waters and shipping lanes. The project spans 1,600 m², featuring a floating aquarium, swimming pool, open-air bar, and essential facilities like a veterinary unit and study space. Environmental impact and animal welfare were thoroughly considered during the design phase.
Massive Private or public swimming arena
The Allas Sea Pool sea spa, completed in 2015–2016 with Marinetek Finland, is located in the heart of Helsinki, near Market Square and the Presidential Palace. The 2700 m² floating complex features two heated pools, a seawater pool, and a sun deck with changing booths, while the restaurant and sauna are on land. The facility offers various floating options, including sports units, cafés, saunas, and event spaces, with maintenance and upgrades ongoing. More details at Allas Sea Pool.
